You will cruise at an exhilarating 50km/hr to cover more than 120km exploring the far reaches of Lake Argyle.
See Rock Wallabies, Crocodiles, Wallaroos and Birdlife, plus a Catfish feeding frenzy and the amazing spitting Archer Fish.
Take in the untamed landscape of the magnificent Carr Boyd Ranges along the inaccessible North Western shoreline as you cruise through some of Lake Argyles 90 islands and inlets.
Cruise near the submerged site of the now famous Durack Family Homestead - "Argyle Downs". Stop at Remote Island and fossick for the mysterious Zebra Rock, unique to Lake Argyle. Explore the wetlands of one of the rivers feeding Lake Argyle system, home to a myriad of birdlife at times numbering in the tens of thousands. Binoculars are provided for a closer look at the display of different wildlife but please feel free to bring along your own.
Lunch is provided and complimentary afternoon tea is available, enabling you to sample some of the famous Ord River produce. While cruising back across the lake, sit back and relax and catch the changing colors of the late afternoon scenery reflecting off the red cliffs and islands dotted throughout the lake. Finally, stop for a refreshing swim and enjoy complimentary drinks and snacks - perfect end to the best way to experience the true magnificence of Lake Argyle.
This cruise includes return transfers from Kununurra in our air conditioned bus, with a stop at the Durack Homestead on the way.
***Please note our transfers do not stop at the Homestead during October-May.

Dress Code

Bring your bathers if you wish to take a dip in the fresh water of Lake Argyle! The vessel for your cruise, Silver Cobbler II, has a covered seating area but customers may choose to bring a hat, sunscreen, and don't forget your camera! Warm clothing may be required from June to August.

Concession Information

Lake Argyle Cruises are pleased to offer discounts for seniors, children, and family's. Senior's must carry a Senior Card issued by an Australian State Government.

It is recommended to book in advance for all tours to avoid disappointment. Please inform us of all infants when making bookings. Vessels may change due to operational requirements. Lake Argyle Cruises operate all year round, with daily cruises departing from May to September. From October to April cruises are scheduled according to demand. ******Please call prior to booking a voucher to ensure we are running this cruise during intended visit period.
